3Wishes Announces ‘Women’s Empowerment Scholarship’

We're excited to announce that we are offering a $1,000 “Women’s Empowerment Scholarship” in an effort to support our continued dedication to the uplifting of women. The scholarship will be awarded to one woman enrolled in a junior college, university, trade school, or the like, anytime in the next two years.

Applicants are encouraged to include a short essay outlining how they think society can most effectively empower women. While not required, applicants who have volunteer experience, express financial need, and/or are women of color are encouraged to apply.

Interested parties may apply here through November 30, 2021. The winner will be announced on December 29, 2021.

“At the core of 3Wishes is the support, upliftment, and encouragement of women past systemic and social barriers,” said 3Wishes CEO and co-founder, Jason Squardo. “The 3Wishes Women’s Empowerment Scholarship is designed to support one special woman in achieving her dreams in and out of the classroom.”

While the world has seen great progress with women’s rights and gender equality in the past century, there is no doubt that there is still so much to be done to ensure that women have the same opportunities and outcomes as men.

Today, there is still quite a large gap between men and women when it comes to income, wealth, debt, poverty levels, discrimination, abuse, domestic responsibilities, and the opportunity to take on leadership roles –– all of which are greater difficulties for women of color. 3Wishes hopes that this scholarship can do a small part in closing the gap and empowering all women.
